Courses for vocational training

Aim and Scope

Fundamentally vocational training courses involve equipping individuals with skills that are in demand by the labour market or employers and certification of these vocational skills upon the completion. These courses are supported by the

 Turkish Employment agency (İŞKUR) and in order to increase the participants’ employment opportunities, a localized approach is taken which includes:

• Selection of occupations based on the local labour market demands
• Improving vocational qualifications that are locally in demand
• Choosing a vocation based on individual characteristics.

Additionally, priority is given to the opening of vocational training courses that are in demand by the employers, those courses that must be organized relatively quickly and to meet urgent needs.

Target groups

The target group of this service includes:

• Unemployed people who want to have a vocation
• Skilled people who are unemployed
• Skilled people who are employed but want to improve their skills for retaining job and also want to get ahead in their careers.
• People who want to change jobs and
• other related institutions and organization

Training is carried out with groups of 10-30 participants, using interactive adult training methodology, utilizing both theoretical and practical knowledge and is supplemented   by relevant educational materials.
